#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man misses the shot to the body. Man swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.#TD# Pavone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Man is wriggling around but Pavone manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#REVB# Pavone keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Pavone uses his free foot to push down on Man's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Man. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man has given up his back here. Will Pavone look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pavone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T1# Pavone missing with strikes. Pavone controls the position. Pavone's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.#SUB# Pavone looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Man taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Guerino Pavone! |
