Turner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Turner thows a leg kick but Silva checks it #TD# and Silva decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Turner's guard. Turner pushes Silva off and scrambles back to his feet.
Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Silva throws a lazy right hand but Turner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Turner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turner with a body punch. A glancing blow. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Turner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A low kick lands for Turner.
#CL# Turner gets tackled into the cage by Shaw. Shaw maintains the clinch. Shaw is working for takedown but Turner is calmly controlling the position for now. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Shaw checks a leg kick. It looked like Shaw was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Some bone on bone action there as Shaw checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Turner tries to land a leg kick but Shaw saw it coming and moves away.

#TD# Turner gets caught flat footed, as Shaw shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw pushes down on Turner's leg and manages to get into half guard. Shaw throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Shaw wants to pass to mount but Turner is defending the position. Shaw wants to stand but Turner has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Shaw sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Turner defending well though. #SU# Shaw decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Shaw misses with a series of wild punches.
Turner is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.#T3##CL# Shaw fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Turner, pushing him back against the cage.#TD# Shaw has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Turner is trying to keep an underhook but Shaw manages to get the takedown into half guard. Shaw sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Turner defending well though. Shaw thows a huge punch but Turner dodges it nicely.
#ES2# Turner has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Shaw is on him like a limpet, forcing Turner back against the cage.#BC2# Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Turner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shaw takes a body punch but keeps moving. Zeus Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. An inside leg kick lands from Turner. Shaw tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. This has been an exciting period of action! Turner scores with a head kick. Shaw tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Zeus Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turner misses with a wild combination.

Shaw blocks a low kick nicely.#TD# Shaw shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Shaw was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Turner wants to get back to his feet.#SU# Shaw stands up. Some bone on bone action there as Shaw checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Shaw takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Shaw on the wrong end of a nice hook. A low kick from Turner misses #TD# and Shaw decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Turner's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zeus Turner dominated that round. That's time! Shaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.#R2# Shaw tries to clinch but Turner is having none of it. Zeus Turner seems to be getting the better of the standup. Turner throws a leg kick #TD# and Shaw counters with a nice double leg into side control. Turner won't be happy with that. #SU# Shaw stands up. Turner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. As Turner tries to get set, Shaw tries to push him back and clinch up but Turner manages to avoid the attempt. Turner tests Shaw's chin there with a solid looking shot.#TD# Shaw shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shaw showed some decent athleticism there. Shaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaw prevents Turner from standing back up.
Shaw works his way into side control. #SUB# Shaw is working to tighten his grip on Turner's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Turner has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Shaw is really squeezing tight and eventually Turner passes out! Shaw breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
