The Spartan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Aeric The Spartan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Spartan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Achebe looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Achebe tries to bum rush The Spartan with a series of wild strikes but The Spartan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Achebe loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have The Spartan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Achebe land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Achebe stands and salutes the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernros lands with an uppercut that bounces Achebe off the cage and back into range.
Achebe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fernros as he jumps to the side.
Fernros is looking for the big counter here.
Achebe tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernros looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Fernros is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
No joy there for Fernros, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fernros weaves into range and cracks Achebe right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Achebe goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Fernros is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

After the fight, Fredrik Fernros was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Achebe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tiger to the mat! Tiger manages to get full guard.
Achebe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Tiger has momentary wrist control but Achebe slips an elbow through the middle.
Achebe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
