Short Cake is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bap pulls him back up using the underhooks. #BC# Bap breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL# Bap gets in close and instigates a clinch. Short Cake drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bap pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bap shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Short Cake but Short Cake pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fighters circling - Short Cake throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Short Cake tries to clinch but Bap moves away #TD# and Bap counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Bap seems content to control. Short Cake tries to roll over but Bap keeps him under control. Bap works his foot free and advances to mount. Bap with a couple of short strikes.#T1# Short Cake is trying desperately to improve position. Bap controlling the position easily from mount. BOOM! Bap connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bap lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Short Cake hang on? Bap lands a nice shot to the head. Bap avoids the attempt from Short Cake to control. Short Cake working to try and regain half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Short Cake is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Short Cake working to try and regain half guard.
Short Cake sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ground and pound from Bap. Bap has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.#T3# Still in half guard, Bap seems content to control. Short Cake controlling the position well. Bap wants to control but Short Cake is keeping him busy. Short Cake trying to hold on to Bap's head to control him but Bap postures up.

Short Cake wants to sweep but no luck. Bap trying to control the position from guard on top but Short Cake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Short Cake controls Bap momentarily but Bap frees himself. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Short Cake is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Short Cake shoots in looking for a takedown but Bap manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Short Cake's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bap takes a swing at Short Cake's ribcage but misses. Short Cake raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Bap moves out of range as Short Cake throws a body kick.
Bap seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bap is looking to clinch. #TD2# Short Cake drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bap tries to bench press Short Cake off him but Short Cake keeps the position. Bap manages to get back to half guard. Bap is looking for a sweep. Short Cake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#T1# Short Cake has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bap regains half guard. Bap tries to roll over but Short Cake keeps him under control. Short Cake working the head and body with strikes. Bap tries to roll over but Short Cake keeps him under control. #SUB# Bap has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Short Cake escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Short Cake! Short Cake is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Short Cake tries for a kimura but Bap is defending well. #T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Short Cake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bap keeps working. Bap is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Short Cake is looking to take a break and control but Bap is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bap makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bap. Bap looking for a sweep. Not yet Bap, not yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Short Cake wants to control from the top but Bap keeps moving. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Short Cake is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Strawberry Short Cake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!#R3# Nice sprawl there from Bap as Short Cake shoots in. Bap is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Short Cake. Short Cake misses with a two punch combination.

Bibim Bap overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Short Cake jumps guard but Bap turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Bibim Bap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Strawberry Short Cake. Bap has Short Cake pressed against the cage, preventing Short Cake from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bap misses with a hook to the ribs.
Short Cake is trying to pull guard but Bap has him pressed against the cage. Short Cake jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bap walks away with a smile on his face. Short Cake gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #T4# A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bap is defended easily by Short Cake.#TD2# Short Cake gets a double leg takedown into Bap's guard. Bap is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Short Cake can do to turn this around? Bap is trying to control the position but Short Cake postures up. Short Cake lands a couple of decent looking shots. Short Cake looking to pass the guard. Bap controlling the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bap keeping moving, preventing Short Cake from controlling successfully. Strawberry Short Cake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bap looking to hit a scissor sweep but Short Cake is one step ahead there.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Bap bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bap throwing shots but missing, from side control. Bap throwing shots but missing, from side control. Who's going to make the next move? Bap throws an elbow but Cruller slips to the side and avoids it well. Cruller defending against the ground and pound. #SUB2# Bap wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cruller, who protects the arm well. Cruller is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An elbow from Bap crashes against the mat.
#T1# Bap postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Cruller is trying to improve his position.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bap working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bap tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cruller's legs. The ground and pound from Bap seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Cruller manages to get back to half guard. Cruller has his hands clasped together around Bap's back. He's all about the action. Cruller tries to get to full guard but Bap has control of the leg. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cruller is controlling Bap's trapped leg to prevent Bap from advancing to side control. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Bap gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Bap apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Bap is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Cruller to escape.

Bob was covering up waiting for the punch and Bap finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bap pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bob is keeping the position for now. Bob controls Bap momentarily but Bap frees himself. Bap with a nice head shot there. Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. After the fight, Bibim Bap was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. Bap is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bap is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Cheesecake is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bap scores with a couple of nice shots. Cheesecake taking some punishment here, with Bap in his half guard. Bap is nestled in close to Cheesecake, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cheesecake is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bap scores with a couple of nice shots.#ROC#Cheesecake is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bap lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cheesecake is still in real trouble! Can Bap finish him? Bap scores with a big shot! Cheesecake's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Cheesecake! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bibim Bap! A very excited looking Bibim Bap rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |
