#R1# O Brien takes a swing at Shimizu's ribcage but misses. Shimizu closes this distance looking for a takedown but O Brien circles away. Shimizu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. O Brien lands a nice hook to Shimizu's body. Shimizu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A telegraphed right hand from O Brien misses the target. O Brien throws a body shot but no joy. Shimizu fails in his attempt to clinch. O Brien scores with a jab to the body. O Brien has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Shimizu fails in his attempt to clinch. Shimizu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. O Brien looks to throw the jab but Shimizu is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Brien waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shimizu. Miles O Brien is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shimizu shoots and misses and Shimizu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shimizu tries to close the distance and clinch but O Brien swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shimizu tries to clinch but O Brien is having none of it. Shimizu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as O Brien sprawls well. O Brien wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shimizu gets slowly back to his feet. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Shimizu might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, O Brien has got the better of the exchanges. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nadadora loads up on a big right hand but Shimizu slips the punch. Nice straight punches there by Nadadora. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nadadora.#CUT#It looks like Ichiro Shimizu has been cut. Nadadora tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shimizu was well out of range. Poor timing from Nadadora. Shimizu walks into a straight right hand from Nadadora. A telegraphed right hand from Nadadora misses the target. Shimizu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nadadora defends well and Shimizu ends up having to push Nadadora into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#CL# Shimizu gets tackled into the cage by Nadadora. Nadadora maintains the clinch. Nadadora keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shimizu's efforts to push away. Nadadora lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shimizu backwards. Nadadora lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Shimizu or not. Shimizu tries to pull guard but Nadadora holds him up against the cage and eventually Shimizu drops back down to his feet.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nadadora creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Nadadora lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Shimizu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nadadora tries to avoid it but Shimizu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nadadora to the ground. Nadadora escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nadadora lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Shimizu falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nadadora dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shimizu uses from the top position. Shimizu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zadernovskiy is keeping the position for now. Shimizu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Zadernovskiy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVB# Zadernovskiy scoring with punches to the head and body. Zadernovskiy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Zadernovskiy throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Zadernovskiy manages to end up in side control. Shimizu bucks up and tries to throw Zadernovskiy off but instead Zadernovskiy has got his back! Zadernovskiy really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Shimizu. Can Shimizu hold on?! Zadernovskiy is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
#T4# Zadernovskiy gets his hands free as Shimizu looks to control. Zadernovskiy just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
This has been an exciting period of action!#SUB2# Zadernovskiy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Shimizu has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Zadernovskiy is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Shimizu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nakonechniy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
