#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pisarek paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Pisarek connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pisarek wants to clinch letting Maltsev counter with a right hand. #CUT2#It looks like Mate Pisarek has been cut. Maltsev works Pisarek's body with a nice hook. Maltsev circles away from the clinch attempt.
A nice side step and Maltsev releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Maltsev lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pisarek at a distance.

and Pisarek takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pisarek swings widly with a right hand

Maltsev let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Maltsev ducks under a wild hook from Pisarek. Maltsev looks like he wants to counter punch here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pisarek keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Maltsev. Maltsev avoids the body shot from Pisarek.
A shot to the liver by Pisarek. Beautiful body shot. Maltsev thuds a left hand into Pisarek's body. Pisarek with a nice cross. Pisarek digs a good hook to Maltsev's body.

and Maltsev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pisarek thinking. Pisarek is breathing heavily. Maltsev feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pisareks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Pisarek with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maltsev to score with a decent uppercut. Oh Pisarek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#CUT2#Mate Pisarek's cut is getting worse. Pisarek misses with a right hand letting Maltsev counter with a right hand. Maltsev tries to move into range but Pisarek moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Pisarek misses with a body shot
and Maltsev scores with a counter punch that sends Pisarek to the canvas! Maltsev smells blood - he's punishing Pisarek with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Pisarek has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.#CL# Martins closes the distance and pushes Maltsev back into the cage. Martins has Maltsev pressed against the cage, preventing Maltsev from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Martins avoiding damage.
Maltsev tries to work over Martins's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Martins blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
#TD# Martins decides to pull guard. Martins seems keen to control Maltsev's posture. Maltsev looking to sit in guard and control but Martins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martins stands up over Maltsev, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Martins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T1# Martins scoring with punches to the head and body. Martins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. #T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.#SUB# Martins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Martins stands and throws Maltsev's legs to the side, diving into side control. Maltsev is looking for a sweep. Martins is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Martins has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Maltsev!#T3# Martins sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Martins lands a heavy elbow. #SUB# Martins wants to finish this one by submission but Maltsev is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Martins. Martins avoids the attempt from Maltsev to control. Martins looking to finish with strikes here!
Martins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T4# Martins punishing his opponent with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martins with the ground and pound from mount. #SUB# Martins looking to secure an arm triangle but Maltsev defends it well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Martins controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leopoldo Martins dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.#R2# Martins slips a straight right by Maltsev. We've been informed that Maltsev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Maltsev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Martins circles away quickly and effectively.#CL# Martins clinches with his opponent.
#TD# Martins successfully pulls guard.
Maltsev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Maltsev looking to sit in guard and control but Martins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Maltsev trying to keep a closed guard but Martins is proving a slippery customer.
Maltsev wants to control but Martins passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maltsev is in trouble now - Martins has advanced to mount! Martins sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T1# Maltsev is trying to escape the mount.

Martins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Maltsev for as long as he can get away with.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Maltsev wants to get back to his feet. Maltsev is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Martins.

Martins punishes Maltsev with strikes from the back mount. #SUB# Martins is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Maltsev with him. Maltsev is trying to defend but Martins has an arm under the chin now! Maltsev grimaces and is forced to tap out!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Dos Reis or perhaps it was just good defense by Maltsev, which made it look bad. Dos Reis tries for a takedown but Maltsev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Maltsev lands a jab to the nose. Maltsev scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. No luck for Dos Reis with that takedown attempt. Yuri N Maltsev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustavo Dos Reis. Dos Reis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maltsev.#TD2# Dos Reis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maltsev sprawls well initially but Dos Reis persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dos Reis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Dos Reis lands a couple of good shots and Maltsev has given up his back, trying to escape the position! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SUB2# Dos Reis working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Maltsev is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Dos Reis has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Maltsev taps out!
