Taylor misses the shot to the body. A jab lands there for Taylor. Garcia darts in looking for a takedown but Taylor gets double underhooks and turns Garcia into the ropes. Garcia tries to score a body lock takedown but Taylor shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Garcia. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor tries a body shot but Garcia blocks it.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Edwards defends it nicely. Edwards seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Hammer throws a solid leg kick but Edwards takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hammer. Edwards shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hammer as he jumps to the side. Hammer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Edwards stuffs the takedown attempt from Hammer. Hammer gets slowly back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Edwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Edwards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hammer on his heels. He'll look to pass Hammer's guard now, I'm sure. Edwards stopping the sweep attempt from Hammer. Hammer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Waters is looking for a sweep. Waters tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hammer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Hammer wants to control the pace but Waters is squirming around nicely. Waters is working to get back to half guard.
