Williams half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#CL2# Williams gets tackled into the cage by Rootledge. Rootledge maintains the clinch. #TD# Williams gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rootledge on the ground. Williams is in close to Rootledge's body, working some short punches and elbows.#ROC#Rootledge is rocked!#SUB2# Rootledge looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rootledge is still in real trouble! Can Williams finish him? Rootledge is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Rootledge seems to have recovered his senses. Williams arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Rootledge's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs throws a head kick that misses. #TD2# Rootledge looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jacobs!#ES# Jacobs sneaks out the side door and pushes Rootledge away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.#TD2# Rootledge decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.#ES# Jacobs has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Rootledge is on him like a limpet, forcing Jacobs back against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jacobs is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rootledge is defending well for now. Jacobs working hard to break the clinch. Rootledge tries to pull guard but Jacobs holds him up against the cage and eventually Rootledge drops back down to his feet.

#TD2# Rootledge has hold of one of Jacobs's legs. Jacobs is fighting the takedown attempt but Rootledge gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Jacobs is wriggling around but Rootledge manages to pass to half guard.

Rootledge slips a nice elbow through Jacobs's hands, connecting with Jacobs's forehead. Rootledge sitting and controlling from the half guard. Rootledge not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jacobs trying to control from the bottom.

He's locked it up! Jacobs could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rootledge has cracked it and Jacobs is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rootledge!
