Name looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.#TD# Viden turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Viden tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Name is trying to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Viden taking a breather here. #T1# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Name manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. #T3# Name is looking to control Viden's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Name avoid being mounted? Viden lands with a punch from half guard. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Viden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Viden wants to advance to full mount but Name doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Victor Viden is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Name connects with a solid leg kick. Name is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kimber sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Name connects with a right hand. Kimber shakes it off. Kimber slaps away a takedown attempt from Name, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kimber with the counter takedown but Name avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Name connects with the punch.#T1# Name scores with a shot to the body.
Name looks to throw the jab but Kimber is out of range. Kimber feints the counter takedown. Name misses with a straight left. Name shoots in looking for a takedown but Kimber manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Name's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kimber tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Name. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mobley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Name shoots in but no luck this time. Mobley throws out a counter right but Name avoids it with no problem. Mobley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Name moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mobley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Name avoids a punch combination nicely.
Name feinted there with a counter leg kick. Mobley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Name manages to avoid it. As Mobley looks to move away, Name throws a big counter combo but Mobley just gets out of the way. Mobley throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mobley swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mobley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.#CUT2#It looks like Nick Name has been cut. Name shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mobley defends it nicely.#T1# Mobley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Name sees it coming and avoids it easily. Burt Mobley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mobley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Name controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Name trying to control the position from guard on top but Mobley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
