Tatakai throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
DeLuna digs a good body shot into Tatakai's ribs.
DeLuna cracks Tatakai with a right hand to the side of the head.
DeLuna shoots in for a takedown but Tatakai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
DeLuna fails to land with a series of punches.

and Tatakai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Despite the aggression on Tatakai's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Slinger fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tatakai swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tatakai throws the left hand but Slinger avoids the punch easily.

Tatakai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tatakai counters with a nice uppercut.
Tatakai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Some wild striking there from Sanchez.
Tatakai swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sanchez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tatakai lands with a hook. Sanchez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Tatakai moves away from the strike by Sanchez.
Tatakai keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sanchez.
A telegraphed right hand from Sanchez misses the target.
Tatakai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Xpto on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Xpto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tatakai circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Xpto or perhaps it was just good defense by Tatakai, which made it look bad.
Xpto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.#KD2#

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tatakai crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shinigumi - the referee stops the clock and Tatakai gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shinigumi. Tatakai manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tatakai lands with a nice body punch.
Shinigumi moves out of range of the strikes.
Tatakai looks to land a combination but Shinigumi avoids it well.

We've been informed that Tatakai has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Tatakai is pawing at Shinigumi, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Shinigumi's nose. Shinigumi is badly hurt! Tatakai pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Shinigumi tries desperately to hold on but Tatakai is relentless in his assault! As Shinigumi receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Tatakai away and this one is in the books!
