Pedroni can't fight it off and eventually Alessio manages to take the fight to the floor. Pedroni looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.#ES# Pedroni is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Pedroni tries to circle away but Alessio has him pinned against the cage.#TD# Pedroni successfully pulls guard.
Alessio is in close to Pedroni's body, working some short punches and elbows. Alessio scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alessio accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alessio trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Alessio throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pedroni preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #ROC2#Pedroni is rocked! Alessio is working Pedroni over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oh Pedroni is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Alessio arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Pedroni's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
