QFC Tournament 1021 Round 1
Date: Nov 16, 2020 |
#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warren is looking to clinch. #TD# Geral closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Warren did well to prevent Geral getting side control. Geral trying to pass the guard but Warren defending well. #SUB# Geral is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Warren defends it well. Geral controlling the action here. Warren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Geral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Geral is trying to work for a kimura but Warren is defending well.
Warren is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#T1# Geral keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#SUB# Geral is working for a kimura but Warren is defending it quite comfortably.
#SUB# Geral wants to work for an arm triangle but Warren is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Warren keeping control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Geral is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
#T2##SUB# Geral in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Warren tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Geral!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Finaliza Geral! |
