Fire is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jack screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fire swivels and escapes.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fire tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fire to the ground. Fire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones tries to bum rush Fire with a series of wild strikes but Fire uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fire swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fire fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Fire keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeShawn Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
