Struve's coach down at Cozad MMA New York was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Struve's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Struve walks into a left hand. Struve falls off balance throwing a combination
#TD# and Vurris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vurris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Struve keeping moving, preventing Vurris from controlling successfully. Struve preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vurris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Struve looking to control.

Kirin lands a nice shot that snaps Struve's head back.

Struve lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kirin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Those never looked like landing. Struve feints a counter leg kick. Kirin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Struve fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Beer. Beer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
