#R1##TD2# Yoder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perron's guard. Perron is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Perron tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yoder smiles and moves away.
#TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Perron. This has been an exciting period of action!#SU# Perron decides to take the fight back to the feet. Nice takedown defense from Yoder. No joy for Perron on that attempt. Yoder misses with a right hand and Perron counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CL# Perron rushes Yoder and presses him up against the cage.#BC2# Yoder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yoder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.#T1# Yoder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Perron defends well and Yoder ends up having to push Perron into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Perron lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Perron lands with a slapping head kick. Yoder lands a head kick. Perron smiles back at him and beckons him forward. #CUT2#It looks like Lucas Perron has been cut.#TD# Perron fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yoder to the ground. Perron is now in Yoder's guard. Perron is standing up over Yoder. Yoder looks to escape but Perron dives into side control.
Perron is looking to take a break and control but Yoder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perron misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
#T2# Perron happy to just control the position for now. Perron scoring with punches and elbows. #SU# Perron decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yoder to his feet. Yoder takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yoder ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Perron moves away.#CL# Perron moves into range and clinches up with Yoder. Perron is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Perron. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T3# Perron tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yoder just stands there and leans against the cage. Perron is working for takedown but Yoder is calmly controlling the position for now. Yoder looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Perron tries to pull guard but Yoder won't allow it.
Perron is breathing heavily. Perron wants to take the fight to the mat but Yoder manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.#BC2# Yoder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perron will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perron takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Perron shoots in looking for a takedown. Yoder tries to sprawl out of it but Perron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yoder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #T4# Perron has his takedown stuffed and Yoder counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CL2# Yoder gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Perron is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Yoder is defending well.#BC2# Yoder manages to break the clinch.
Yoder throws a right and a left that both miss. Perron avoids a punch combination nicely.
Perron misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Yoder.
Perron takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
#CUT2#Lucas Perron's cut is getting worse. This has been an exciting period of action!#CL2# Yoder closes the distance and clinches. #TD2# Yoder jumps guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lucas Perron will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lucas Perron's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.#R2# Yoder scores with a spinning back kick! Perron shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Perron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#KD2# Yoder lands a left and a right that send Perron crashing to the mat, dazed. Yoder thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2#Perron is rocked! Yoder lands a big right hook! Perron looks hurt but is still standing! Yoder lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Perron falls down and Yoder dives in with a huge hammer fist! Perron's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Yoder runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
