We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hazid tries to get out of the position. Sukarman wants to stand but Hazid is controlling his posture from full guard. Sukarman forces his way into half guard. Hazid wants to get back to full guard. Sukarman sitting and controlling from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sukarman is looking to take a break and control but Hazid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T1# Sukarman slows the pace down in half guard. Hazid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sukarman on the ground. Sukarman is keen to just control but Hazid is a slippery customer. Sukarman passes to side control. Sukarman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hazid sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sukarman misses with a wild combination.
Sutarjo Sukarman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hazid tries to close the distance and clinch but Sukarman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sukarman doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Sukarman is looking to clinch but Hazid is avoiding it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sukarman or perhaps it was just good defense by Hazid, which made it look bad. Gwafa Hazid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sutarjo Sukarman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sukarman blocks a head kick by Hazid.
Sukarman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hazid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sukarman.

#R1##TD# Perseu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Perseu's corner is telling him to maintain position. Perseu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perseu is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Perseu advances to half guard. #T1# Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perseu in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perseu passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hazid! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hazid can do anything to dispel that myth.#T2# Well. Hazid trying to control the position but instead, Bright has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hazid into the cage. Hazid wants to stall.
Hazid is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
#TD2# Bright gets control of Hazid's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bright will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.#SUB2# Bright is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions.
