#R1# McPartlin shoots in for a takedown but Anacoreta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Anacoreta drops down looking for a counter takedown but McPartlin sprawls and moves away. McPartlin dives in and grabs Anacoreta's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anacoreta pushes down on McPartlin's head and hops out. Anacoreta half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#TD# Anacoreta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McPartlin tries to kick Anacoreta off in order to stand up. Anacoreta Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. McPartlin looks winded! Anacoreta is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McPartlin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Anacoreta cracks McPartlin with an elbow. That is naaassty.#SUB# Anacoreta has an Americana. McPartlin didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Anacoreta is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Anacoreta hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Tom McPartlin had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 174.7, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Adam Heard was cancelled. |

Koka misses with a low kick. Koka just misses with a punch to the body.
McPartlin tries to bum rush Koka with a series of wild strikes but Koka uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McPartlin avoids the body shot from Koka.
#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Koka. Koka landing a few strikes. Koka throws a strike aimed at the side of McPartlin's head but McPartlin avoids it well. Koka throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Koka scores with a couple of short elbows. Koka in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. McPartlin taking a bit of punishment here - Koka scoring with strikes. Koka lands an elbow. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McPartlin is looking to regain half guard here but Koka keeps moving and retains side control. #R1# McPartlin wants to clinch and Diaz counters with a straight right hand.#TD2# Diaz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McPartlin bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Diaz throws the kick towards the body but McPartlin avoids it. McPartlin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - McPartlin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. This has been an exciting period of action! McPartlin misses with a takedown and Diaz counters with a nice uppercut. McPartlin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Diaz counters with a straight right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom McPartlin. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Diaz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. McPartlin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one. A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Diaz with a lazy takedown attempt and McPartlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McPartlin shoots in looking for a takedown but Diaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McPartlin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Diaz wants to counter the offense by McPartlin and move into the clinch position.#TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Diaz. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#TD2# Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diaz in particular looking to stall. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but McPartlin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T3# McPartlin is looking to get back to full guard here but Diaz has managed to pass to side control instead.#SU2# Diaz decides to stand back up. Diaz steps back and let's McPartlin get back to his feet. McPartlin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Diaz. McPartlin throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.

McPartlin is breathing heavily.#CL2# Diaz clinches up with McPartlin and pushes him back against the cage.#TD2# Diaz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McPartlin uses from the top position. Diaz wants to stand but McPartlin is controlling the position. #T4# McPartlin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#SUB2# Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McPartlin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McPartlin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McPartlin wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. McPartlin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nick Diaz will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.#R2##TD# McPartlin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Diaz scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Diaz is working for takedown but McPartlin is calmly controlling the position for now. A nice right hand lands inside from Diaz. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McPartlin taking a breather. #BC2# Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Diaz gets underhooks to prevent McPartlin's takedown attempt.

I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged McPartlin with him. McPartlin is trying to defend but Diaz has an arm under the chin now! McPartlin grimaces and is forced to tap out!
