#R1# Taiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garcia tries to avoid it but Taiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garcia to the ground. Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Taiga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#CL2# Taiga has taken the fight to the clinch.
Garcia wants to break free but Taiga has control.
#BC# Garcia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Garcia looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Taiga scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Taiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taiga wants it to stay on the feet. Garcia throws a one two combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taiga fails with a takedown attempt. Taiga tries a head kick but it misses.

Taiga keeps control of Garcia as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Garcia is trying to push Taiga away but Taiga has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Taiga will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Garcia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taiga unleashes a big counter combination but Garcia bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Garcia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Taiga throws a series of punches but Garcia avoids them all with ease. Horrible takedown attempt by Taiga or perhaps it was just good defense by Garcia, which made it look bad. #T4# Taiga throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Garcia slips under a jab. Garcia with a body punch. A glancing blow. Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch but Taiga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Despite the aggression on Taiga's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Taiga fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Garcia circles away from the clinch attempt.
Garcia lands a front kick. Taiga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garcia. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Garcia lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Taiga gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #T4##TD2# Taiga looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Garcia! Garcia throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Garcia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Taiga showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Garcia.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Garcia. I think Taiga has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
