Lew throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Irving was covering up waiting for the punch and Lew finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lew passes into half guard.
Lew prevents Irving from improving his position.
Lew works his way into side control.
Lew is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Irving's shoulder. That is not cool.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2#
Lew has hold of Irving's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Irving tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lew cranks the arm and Irving screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Irving, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
