#R1# Nice takedown defense from Sampson. No joy for Hoya on that attempt. Sampson digs a good body shot into Hoya's ribs. Hoya really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hoya has a takedown stuffed. Sampson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sampson works over Hoya's head and body with a nice combination. Sampson cracks Hoya with an open hand slap. Hoya shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sampson as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doc Hoya. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Sampson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hoya napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ROC2#Hoya is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sampson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hoya some visible discomfort.
Oh Hoya is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! A big shot lands for Sampson! That's hurt Hoya! Will he recover? Sampson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

#R1# A nice combination there by Sampson.
Some wild striking there from Sampson.
#TD# Warrior looking to score a takedown here. Sampson is defending well but Warrior drives through and ends up in Sampson's guard. Warrior wants to pass the guard but Sampson is keeping the position. Warrior throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sampson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sampson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVB# Sampson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Warrior trying to get back to full guard but Sampson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Warrior wants to control but Sampson is having none of it. This has been an exciting period of action! Sampson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.#T1# Warrior tries to reverse the position but Sampson maintains control. Sampson blocks Warrior's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Warrior is desperately trying to improve his position but Sampson has a good base and remains in mount.#SUB2# Warrior wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Sampson has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Warrior taps furiously! This one is all over!

#R1# Sampson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lava steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Sampson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. No joy there for Sampson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lava changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sampson tries to avoid it but Lava manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sampson to the ground. Sampson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sampson throwing a counter right hand but Lava manages to avoid it. Sampson lands with a nice combination. Lava backs away looking to recover. Lava shoots in but Sampson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sampson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sampson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.#KD# Nice combo by Sampson! Oh, that's hurt him - Lava falls to the canvas and Sampson follows him into side control. #ROC#Lava is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sampson lands a decent elbow from side control. Lava is still in real trouble! Can Sampson finish him? Sampson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lava is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sampson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
