Wednesday tries to counter by closing the distance. Wednesday is looking to clinch but Peixoto is avoiding it.
Peixoto fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Michael Peixoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peixoto lands with an overhand left. Peixoto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Peixoto lands with a straight right. Wednesday didn't see that one coming. Peixoto cracks Wednesday with a right hand to the side of the head. Peixoto ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wednesday slips under a jab from Peixoto. #TD2# and Wednesday counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wednesday controls from within his opponent's guard. Peixoto has a closed guard, preventing Wednesday from standing up. Wednesday preventing the sweep. Wednesday has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peixoto is proving hard to escape from. Wednesday advances to half guard. #T2# Wednesday stalling. Peixoto has a hand on Wednesday's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Wednesday takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Wednesday controlling from the full mount. Peixoto is wriggling around trying to escape.
#T3# Wednesday content just to control the position here. Wednesday wants to take Peixoto's back here but Peixoto is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
#SUB2# Wednesday looking to isolate an arm here. Peixoto doesn't see it coming and as Wednesday extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Wednesday!
