IV's coach down at Hotrod Express MMA Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on IV's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
BOOM! IV lands a beautiful left hook that drops Toanesti. Toanesti tries to recover but IV is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Toanesti lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charlie IV!
Charlie IV decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Chris Toanesti spoke after the fight, saying 'No worries, guys. The Athletic Commission has just announced my opponent failed his pre-fight drug tests, so the result of this fight will be overturned and declared a No Contest. Big thanks to those of us who continue to fight clean!'.

A quick step to the side and Kable tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kable seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kable lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens IV up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Kable from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw IV's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

A very excited looking Demo Kable made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Charlie IV was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Sigmund Cabrera really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 275.8, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Charlie IV was cancelled.
