Spann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spann wants it to stay on the feet.
Spann stuffs the takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Spann keeps the fight on the outside.
Spann is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Diaz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Spann backs up against the cage.

Spann decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Diaz tries to kick Spann off in order to stand up. Spann Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Diaz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Diaz wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Spann seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Diaz is tapping! Wow, great finish!
