#R1##CL# Uggy Boogy has closed the distance and engaged Madruga in a clinch.
Madruga tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Uggy Boogy just stands there and leans against the cage. Madruga has had enough of the clinch but Uggy Boogy keeps him there for the moment. Uggy Boogy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Uggy Boogy lands a damaging elbow. #CUT#It looks like Seu Madruga has been cut. Uggy Boogy misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Madruga.
Madruga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#TD2# Madruga has picked Uggy Boogy up - he's going for a ride! Madruga dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Madruga takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Madruga trying to control the pace. Uggy Boogy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#T1# Madruga prevents Uggy Boogy from improving his position. Madruga controlling the action here. Uggy Boogy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Madruga uses his free foot to push down on Uggy Boogy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Uggy Boogy. Madruga sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Uggy Boogy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Madruga takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Madruga's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. A nice elbow there by Madruga. Madruga sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T3# It looks like Madruga might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Madruga in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Madruga scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Madruga has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Uggy Boogy's face.
Madruga controlling his opponent. Uggy Boogy is looking to get to half guard. Madruga tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Uggy Boogy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Madruga on the ground. BOOM! Madruga connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Madruga moves to the back. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Seu Madruga dominated that round. The cut man is working on Seu Madruga's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2# Uggy Boogy tries to close the distance and clinch but Madruga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coconut Uggy Boogy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Madruga misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.#TD2# Madruga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Madruga controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uggy Boogy has a hand on Madruga's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Madruga takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madruga lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.#T1# Uggy Boogy is in a horrible position here. Madruga smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Madruga has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Madruga lands with some strikes. Uggy Boogy is desperately trying to improve his position but Madruga has a good base and remains in mount. A nice elbow there by Madruga. Madruga with the ground and pound from mount. #SUB2# Uggy Boogy is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Madruga locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Uggy Boogy is forced to tap!
