Ginger blocking the ground and pound attempt from Badr. Badr scoring with strikes to the body and head. Badr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ginger's head. #R1# Anacoreta lands a body shot.
Badr missing with a left hand there. Anacoreta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Anacoreta fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Badr misses with a jab to the body
and Anacoreta counters with a left to the body. We've been hearing reports that Anacoreta has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Anacoreta paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Badr shoots in but no luck this time. Anacoreta dips down and scores with a jab to the body.#TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Anacoreta. Badr is trying to control Anacoreta's posture but Anacoreta avoids it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anacoreta trying to control the action but Badr is working from the bottom. #T1# Anacoreta in side control, throwing shots but Badr defends. Anacoreta misses with the ground and pound. Badr tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Anacoreta easily slips into full mount! Anacoreta wants to control the pace but Badr is squirming around nicely. Badr is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.#SUB# Anacoreta has hold of Badr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Badr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
#SUB# Anacoreta is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Badr can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Badr wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Badr trying to control but not successfully. #SUB# Anacoreta has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. #T3# So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Badr is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Anacoreta off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
