#R1# Frederico leaves Mcquarrie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mcquarrie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Frederico defends well and Mcquarrie ends up having to push Frederico into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mcquarrie 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mcquarrie fails to pull guard.

Mcquarrie wants to take the fight to the mat but Frederico manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Frederico misses with a hook from the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Mcquarrie . #BC# Mcquarrie 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mcquarrie fails with a takedown attempt. Mcquarrie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcquarrie takes a jab right on the nose.
