Vincentius fails with a takedown attempt.
Hardrada thows a left - swing and a miss!
We've been hearing reports that Vincentius has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hardrada goes for a small jab and connects. Now Hardrada goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Vincentius stumbles back but Hardrada runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Vincentius to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Vincentius will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Shakes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shakes checks a low kick from Vincentius.
Shakes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vincentius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#CL2#
Shakes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vincentius, pushing him back against the cage.
Vincentius has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Vincentius can't find room to land a body shot as Shakes controls the action.
Vincentius jumps guard but Shakes stands there with Vincentius around his waist. Vincentius gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shakes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

enabling Two to counter with a crisp jab.
Vincentius thows a leg kick but Two checks it
and Two cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vincentius has his takedown stuffed
and Two counters with a straight right hand.
Vincentius has been working on his balance at Training Grounds, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Two.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vincent Vincentius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
