Boy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Friedman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Friedman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Boy looks winded! Friedman postures up in Boy's guard and throws a big left but Boy blocks it. Friedman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Friedman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Friedman throwing strikes from guard but Boy blocks nicely. Friedman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Friedman postures up and lands a big shot to Boy's brow. Friedman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Friedman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Friedman cracks Boy with a solid left hand. Boy keeping moving, preventing Friedman from controlling successfully. #T4# Friedman throws a big elbow that misses. Friedman postures up and lands a big shot to Boy's brow. Friedman wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving. Friedman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Friedman connects with a couple of short punches. Friedman working some strikes from top position. Friedman postures up in Boy's guard and throws a big left but Boy blocks it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Friedman lands a couple of decent looking shots. Friedman throws a big elbow that misses. Friedman with a flurry of punches that miss. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
David Friedman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!#R2# Friedman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. enabling Boy to counter with a crisp jab. #KD2# Boy lands a big uppercut and Friedman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Friedman looks OK. Boy waves Friedman back to his feet!#ROC2#Friedman is rocked! Friedman misses with a wild body shot. Friedman misses with a right hand and Boy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Friedman. Those never looked like landing. Boy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Boy throws a jab but it's blocked by Friedman. Friedman throws a poor cross that misses
and Boy counters with a nice uppercut. #T1# Boy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Friedman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Friedman slips a jab and a cross from Boy.
Boy is breathing heavily. Friedman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Friedman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Friedman throws a sloppy head kick and Boy counters with a stiff right hand. Friedman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Friedman has his takedown stuffed and Friedman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #T2# Boy misses with the combination.
#CL2# Boy clinches up with Friedman and pushes him back against the cage. Friedman tries for a takedown but Boy manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Friedman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boy is working Friedman over against the cage. Boy scores with a nice hook to the head.#CUT2#David Friedman's cut is getting worse. A left hand lands to the body for Boy.
Friedman is looking for a takedown. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A body shot lands from Boy.
#T3# Boy lands a hook to the side of the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Boy creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Boy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Friedman backwards. Boy stops a takedown attempt from Friedman.
Nice body punch from Boy. Friedman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Boy is pressed up against the cage. Friedman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boy down to the mat. Boy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Boy scores with a jab. Friedman acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Oh Friedman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Boy plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Friedman to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Friedman just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
