#R1# Murphi throws the kick towards the body but Shumway avoids it. Murphi swings for the body but Shumway moves out of range.
Shumway misses the body punch and Murphi counters with a stiff right hand. Murphi avoids the body shot from Shumway.
Shumway lands with a cross. Nice sprawl there from Shumway as Murphi shoots in.#CL2# Shumway gets tackled into the cage by Murphi. Murphi maintains the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Shumway misses with a body punch.

Shumway is working Murphi over against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Murphi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Murphi looking to control the position here, rather than advance. #T1# Murphi postures up and lands a big shot to Shumway's brow. Shumway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Murphi on the ground.#SUB# Shumway looking for a guillotine here but Murphi defends easily.
Murphi lands a couple of elbows. Shumway looking for a sweep. Not yet Shumway, not yet. #T2# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Murphi lands a couple of digs. Murphi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#SUB2# Murphi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Murphi stays in close to Shumway's body and controls the position. Shumway wants to control but Murphi passes easily into half guard.
Murphi working over Shumway with some ground and pound. Shumway looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Murphi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #T3# Murphi content to control rather than advance. Shumway trying to hold on to Murphi's head to control him but Murphi postures up.

Shumway is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Murphi asserts his dominance and retains side control. Murphi working away. Shumway really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.#SUB2# Murphi is working to tighten his grip on Shumway's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Shumway has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Murphi is really squeezing tight and eventually Shumway passes out! Murphi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1##TD2# Murphi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Seventeen to the mat! Seventeen manages to get full guard. Murphi distracts Seventeen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Seventeen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Seventeen wants to sweep here but Murphi controlling him for the moment. Murphi is stalling in the full guard. #SUB# Murphi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Seventeen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Murphi is looking to defend but Seventeen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Murphi! Seventeen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Murphi taps out and this one is all over!
