#R1# Laflame leaves Lashan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lashan misses with a combination
#TD2# and Laflame counters with a single leg into guard. Lashan didn't expect that. Laflame stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lashan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lashan keeping moving, preventing Laflame from controlling successfully. Lashan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Laflame. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lashan wants to stand and escape but Laflame is having none of it. Laflame sitting in guard, not really doing much. Laflame sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lashan's guard. #T1# Lashan trying to control from the bottom.

#SUB2# Laflame wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lashan, who protects the arm well. Lashan is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Laflame is one step ahead and moves to full mount!#T2# Laflame looking to control but Lashan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Laflame controlling from the full mount. Laflame prevents Lashan from getting the reversal. Lashan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Laflame on the ground.#SU2# Laflame gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Lashan tries to clinch but Laflame is having none of it. Laflame tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #TD2# Laflame bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Laflame looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Lashan is avoiding damage well.
#T3# Laflame is staying tight to Lashan's torso, preventing him from escaping. Laflame throwing shots but missing, from side control. Laflame wants to control but Lashan is keeping him busy. Laflame tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Laflame has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Laflame in side control, throwing shots but Lashan defends. Laflame controls the position. Laflame is looking to take a break and control but Lashan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T4# The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lashan is trying to control Laflame's posture but Laflame avoids it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Laflame misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lashan dodges the ground and pound from Laflame. Lashan is trying to control Laflame's posture but Laflame avoids it. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Lashan as Laflame shoots in. Lashan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD2# Lashan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laflame to score an easy takedown into full guard. Laflame wants to pass the guard but Lashan is keeping the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Guy Laflame dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.#R2##TD2# Laflame drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Lashan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.#BC2# Laflame breaks from the clinch.
Lashan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Laflame is looking for the big counter here. Laflame has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Laflame doesn't manage to clinch there - Lashan circles away.
Lashan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Lashan throws a head kick but Laflame moves out of range.
Laflame throws a head kick that misses. #CL2# Laflame forces Lashan back against the cage and clinches. The referee calls for Laflame to work.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lashan. #T1##BC2# Laflame breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lashan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Laflame circles away quickly and effectively. A punch combination from Lashan misses. Laflame doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Laflame dodges the punch combination from Lashan.
Nicko Lashan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lashan throws a hook but Laflame blocks it.#TD2# Laflame drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laflame misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lashan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Laflame off and has taken his back! Laflame is trying to stand back up. #T2##ES2# Lashan has his opponent's back but Laflame is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Lashan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lashan doesn't manage to clinch there - Laflame circles away.
Laflame tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Lashan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Laflame doesn't manage to clinch there - Lashan circles away.
#TD2# Lashan gets caught napping as Laflame dives in and scores a takedown. Lashan manages to retain guard. Laflame stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lashan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lashan pulls Laflame in to control the position. Laflame looking to pass the guard. #T3# Laflame passes into half guard. Lashan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Laflame is working away from the top position though.#SUB2# Laflame maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lashan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Laflame has cracked it and Lashan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Laflame!
