#R1# Wilson misses with a takedown attempt - Asdf sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Asdf is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#CL2# Wilson gets tackled into the cage by Asdf. Asdf maintains the clinch. Asdf is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Wilson is keeping busy. Wilson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#BC2# Asdf manages to break the clinch.
Wilson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Asdf defends well and Wilson ends up having to push Asdf into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.#BC2# Asdf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jack Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Asdf buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asdf throws a one two combo.
#CL# Wilson clinches up against the cage. Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Asdf is controlling him.#TD2# Asdf jumps guard and drags Wilson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. #T1# Asdf keeping full guard, as Wilson tries to pass. Wilson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. #SUB2# Wilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Asdf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilson has managed to get both his arms back between Asdf's legs - danger averted.#SU# Wilson gets to his feet - Asdf follows without any prompting. #TD# Wilson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Asdf tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wilson is in Asdf's guard. Wilson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Asdf is pulling down on Wilson's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilson, at least for the moment. Asdf controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself. #T2##SUB2# Asdf throws his legs up looking for a submission but Wilson uses it to pass to side control.
Wilson controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Asdf for as long as he can get away with. Asdf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T3# Wilson advances nicely into full mount. Wilson controlling from the full mount. Wilson working the ground and pound effectively.
Wilson content just to control the position here. Wilson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Asdf is trying desperately to improve position.#T4# Wilson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wilson continues to stall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Asdf really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Wilson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wilson.#TD2# Asdf drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.#SUB# Wilson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Asdf defends well. Asdf trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asdf trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom. #T1# Asdf throwing strikes from guard but Wilson blocks nicely. Wilson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wilson managing to control the position. Wilson keeping moving, preventing Asdf from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Asdf controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#TD2# Asdf closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Asdf lands in his opponent's guard. Wilson is adopting a defensive guard. Asdf wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. #ES# Wilson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Asdf goes for a high kick. It partially lands.#T3# Wilson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. #CL# Wilson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Asdf, pushing him back against the cage. Wilson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
#BC2# Asdf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL# The fight moves into the clinch position.#TD2# Asdf ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Asdf no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wilson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Asdf controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself. Wilson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #T4# Asdf tries to land a sweep but no joy. #SUB# Wilson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilson trying to control but Asdf is working from the bottom. #SUB# Wilson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Asdf trying to keep a closed guard but Wilson is proving a slippery customer.
#REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Asdf Asdf will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!#R3##TD# Wilson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wilson is stalling in the full guard. Asdf is trying to control the position but Wilson postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wilson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T1# Jack Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#SUB2# Asdf has an active guard here but Wilson has managed to pass into half guard.
#SUB2# Asdf actively working from the bottom here.#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wilson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. This is a sustained period of stalling by Wilson. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.#SU# Wilson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Wilson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Asdf sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wilson somewhat.#CL# Wilson has Asdf up against the cage in a clinch.
Wilson wants to take the fight to the mat but Asdf manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.#T3# Wilson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Asdf up against the cage.#BC2# Asdf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A thudding body kick lands there by Asdf!
#TD2# Asdf drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Wilson kicks Asdf off and gets to his feet. #CL2# Asdf forces Wilson back against the cage and clinches. Wilson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Asdf is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Asdf takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Asdf is struggling to control the position.#T4##TD# Asdf is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wilson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Asdf to the mat. Asdf regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#SUB# Wilson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Asdf is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Asdf has escaped and now he's on top! #REVB# Asdf slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilson pulls Asdf in close to his closed guard and prevents Asdf from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Wilson. I think Wilson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
