#R1# Stevenson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Joestar's hands. Joestar walks into a jab. Stevenson fails in his attempt to clinch. Joestar blocks a jab. Joestar tries to counter with a clinch but Stevenson shakes him off and moves away. Stevenson scores with a jab to the body. Stevenson misses with a straight left. Joestar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Stevenson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Stevenson missing with a left hand there. Joestar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Stevenson misses with an uppercut. Joestar saw that one coming. Stevenson darts in trying to clinch and Joestar counters with a straight right hand. We've been told by Stevenson's head coaches at Shao Kahns Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#CL# Stevenson moves into range and clinches up with Joestar. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice left hand lands by Stevenson.

Joestar effectively controlling the action here. Stevenson throws a punch but it's blocked by Joestar. Joestar's coach down at Deep waters was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Joestar's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Stevenson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

#R1# Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mahdi swats him away and circles back towards the center. #CL# Stevenson takes the fight into the clinch. Stevenson has a couple of punches blocked by Mahdi.
Stevenson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Mahdi misses with a punch on the inside.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Stevenson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Stevenson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Stevenson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A left lands for Stevenson.#KD# Stevenson cracks Mahdi with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mahdi looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Stevenson finish him?
Stevenson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mahdi moves away. Stevenson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mahdi. Stevenson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Mahdi flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mahdi is out cold! Stevenson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

#R1# Stevenson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Brown getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A telegraphed right hand from Brown misses the target. Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stevenson. A nice side step and Stevenson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Stevenson slips under a jab. A countering left hand to the body from Stevenson misses. Brown looks to land a left hand but Stevenson moved out of range nicely. Stevenson staying out of range there. Stevenson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Brown throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stevenson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stevenson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Brown misses the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stevenson seems to have recovered his senses. Stevenson tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Brown scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Stevenson has hold of Brown's hands but Brown slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Stevenson wants to get back to full guard. Brown scores with a big shot! Stevenson's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Stevenson! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
