#R1##CL2# Johnson has closed the distance and engaged Dillon in a clinch.
Dillon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
#TD# Dillon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Dillon tries to strike from the bottom.
Dillon trying to control the position here. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dillon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#SUB# Dillon pushes a forearm under Johnson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Johnson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Creamy Dillon! |
