#R1# Matthews shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wilson defends it nicely. Wilson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Matthews momentarily.
#CL# Wilson closes the distance and pushes Matthews back into the cage.#BC2# Matthews breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #TD# Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard. Matthews is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wilson dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#REVB# Matthews tries to bench press Wilson off him but Wilson keeps the position. #T1##SUB# Wilson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Matthews is being controlled here. Wilson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Matthews for as long as he can get away with.#SU# Wilson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wilson needs to keep his hands up - Matthews had a free shot at his head there. Matthews closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wilson circles away.#T2# Matthews fails with the takedown. Wilson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Mike Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Matthews. Matthews shoots in and drives through. Wilson sprawls well. Matthews moves out of range of the body kick from Wilson .
Matthews lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wilson misses with a head kick.
Matthews tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Matthews throws a lazy right hand but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Matthews misses with an uppercut
#CL# and Wilson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wilson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matthews fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Matthews moves in looking to clinch but Wilson pushes him off. This has been an exciting period of action!#TD# Matthews gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wilson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Matthews is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Matthews looks winded!#T3# Wilson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wilson passes Matthews's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wilson content to control rather than advance. #T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Matthews trying to control from the bottom.
#SUB# Wilson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Matthews is just riding it out for now. Wilson eventually gives up the hold. Matthews is trying to control but Wilson passes into side control!

Matthews can't fight it off and eventually Wilson manages to take the fight to the floor. Matthews looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wilson sitting in guard here, content to control. Wilson is in close to Matthews's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson wants to stand but Matthews is controlling his posture from full guard. Wilson 's corner is telling him to maintain position.#T1##SU# Wilson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #CL# Wilson instigates a clinch. Wilson prevents a takedown attempt there.
#TD# Wilson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wilson manages to end up in side control. Wilson scores with punches from side control. #T2# Wilson is working Matthews over with some ground and pound from side control. #SUB# Wilson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Matthews, who protects the arm well. Wilson wants to stand but Matthews is controlling his arm. Matthews is not content to let Wilson control the position. Wilson grinds an elbow into Matthews's temple. #SUB# Wilson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Matthews has escaped the position, nice work there. #T3# Matthews looking for a sweep but Wilson has passed into full mount! Oh no! Matthews is trying to stand up. Matthews really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilson . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilson controlling the pace for now. Matthews takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Matthews is trying to reverse the position but instead Wilson has taken his back - oops! Wilson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Matthews's body.
#T4# You can see the frustration on Matthews's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Wilson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Wilson 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wilson lands with a hammerfist to the side of Matthews's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Matthews is really stuck here.

Mike Wilson dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!#R3# Wilson digs a good body shot into Matthews's ribs. Wilson slaps away a takedown attempt from Matthews, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wilson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Matthews is looking to take this fight into the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Matthews. Wilson fires out a quick counter leg kick but Matthews just manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from Matthews. Matthews gets slowly back to his feet. Mike Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Matthews.#TD# Wilson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wilson showed some decent athleticism there. Matthews takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.#T1# Wilson lands strikes from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson content to control rather than advance. Mike Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Matthews tries to get to full guard but Wilson has control of the leg. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wilson lands a nice short elbow.#SU# Wilson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. #TD# Wilson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Matthews tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Wilson manages to move to mount!

A nice elbow there by Wilson . The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB# Matthews is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Wilson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Matthews is forced to tap!
