MacDonald lands a nice hook to Mane's body. Mane takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mane has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
MacDonald lands the left hand.
The fighters circling - MacDonald throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
MacDonald lands a head shot.
Mane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but MacDonald paws at him with a jab and circles away.
MacDonald scores with a sloppy right hand. Mane should have avoided that one. #TD2#
Mane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
MacDonald tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mane has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of MacDonald's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Mane might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#T1#
MacDonald is trying to stand back up.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Mane lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mane slips under a jab from Herro.
Herro backing away here, and Mane unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Herro misses with a head kick.
A jab from Herro does it's job there.
Herro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Herro throws a big counter combination but Mane scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Herro doesn't manage to clinch there - Mane circles away.
A combination from Mane does no damage.
Mane walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.#CUT#It looks like Josh Mane has been cut.#CL#
Herro moves into the clinch successfully.

Herro breaks the clinch.
Mane gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mane tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Herro is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mane buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mane!! Mane is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Herro throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Mane plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Ross takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ross misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And Mane tries to counter it with a takedown but Ross pushes his down on his head and steps out.#TD2#
Mane shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mane was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
A lull in the action here.
Ross dodges the ground and pound from Mane.#T1#
Mane is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mane sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ross is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mane laying and praying for a moment but Ross takes advantage and regains half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ross is looking for a counter combo.
Mane lands a slapping body shot.
Mane goes for a double leg but Ross avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ross continues to drive forward.
Ross is looking to counter the offense by Mane and move into the clinch.
Mane lands with a kick to the ribs.
Mane tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ross defends well and Mane ends up having to push Ross into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bubba Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Mane.
Ross shoots in but Mane avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Ross counters with a left and a right that stings Mane.
Mane swats away the attempt to clinch by Ross.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ross tries to avoid it but Mane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ross to the ground. Ross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ross is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mane is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Josh Mane.
