Arawakan can't find room to land a body shot as Dead controls the action.
Arawakan throws a head punch that misses. #TD2# Dead gets control of Arawakan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dead will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Dead wants to get back to his feet but Arawakan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Arawakan passes easily into side control. Nice work.#SUB# Arawakan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dead knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Arawakan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Arawakan trying to control the action but Dead is working from the bottom. #T1# Dead wants to control but Arawakan postures up. Arawakan throwing strikes but missing, from side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dead can do anything to dispel that myth. Dead is looking to regain half guard here but Arawakan keeps moving and retains side control. Dead is still trying to improve position. Arawakan wants to control but Dead is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Dead's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Arawakan throwing shots but missing, from side control. Dead tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Arawakan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. #SUB# Arawakan has hold of Dead's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dead tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Arawakan cranks the arm and Dead screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dead, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#R1# Green dives in for a single leg takedown but Arawakan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Green tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Arawakan smiles and moves away.
Green avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A slow jab from Arawakan misses its intended target. Green shoots in for a double leg but Arawakan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Green sets himself, and Arawakan steps forward looking for the clinch! Green avoids it this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Green closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Arawakan's guard. Green is pushing down on Arawakan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Arawakan is fighting to maintain full guard but Green has managed to sneak the leg through. Green tries to pass to full mount but Arawakan defends it. Arawakan tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. #SUB# Green looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

#SUB# Arawakan tries to improve his position but Green has taken his back! Green has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Arawakan tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Green pushes Arawakan away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
