Lachmann manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB# Lachmann has his foot on Lee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lee works his way back into a safe position though.#SUB# Lachmann working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lachmann wants to control but Lee passes easily into half guard.

#R1# Koppia slips under a jab from Lachmann. Koppia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lachmann was well out of range. Poor timing from Koppia. Lachmann loads up on a big right hand but Koppia slips the punch. Koppia swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Koppia keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Koppia was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Koppia throws a body punch but Lachmann moves out of range. And Lachmann tries to counter it with a takedown but Koppia pushes his down on his head and steps out. Nice takedown defense from Koppia. No joy for Lachmann on that attempt. A little feinted left hand from Koppia on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. A telegraphed right hand from Koppia misses the target. Koppia slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Lachmann keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koppia lands with a big left! Lachmann is wobbled badly! Koppia comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Lachmann to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

and Saigon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Saigon leaves Lachmann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And Saigon responds with a good body kick, but Lachmann manages to step out the way in time. Lachmann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lachmann has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Saigon. Lachmann is trying hard to land a takedown here. Saigon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lachmann with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Saigon to score with a decent uppercut. Saigon swings for the body but Lachmann moves out of range.

We've been informed that Lachmann has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
