#R1# Nice takedown defense from Lubov. No joy for Turnbull on that attempt. Turnbull takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Lubov getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Turnbull tries for a takedown but Lubov circles away easily and Lubov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turnbull is defended easily by Lubov. Alexander Lubov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Turnbull. Turnbull shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lubov defends it nicely. Turnbull's coach down at Walter J Abramowitz Center for Bigness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turnbull's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lubov punishes Turnbull's body with a nice straight punch. Lubov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Turnbull tries to clinch and Lubov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.#KD# Lubov sends Turnbull crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lubov is motioning to the referee to let Turnbull up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#ROC#Turnbull is rocked! Lubov finds Turnbull's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Turnbull flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Lubov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Turnbull will be OK.

#R1# Lubov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nice shot lands for Lubov. Horrible takedown attempt by Murphy or perhaps it was just good defense by Lubov, which made it look bad. We've been hearing reports that Murphy has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Lubov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Lubov keeps the fight on the outside. A combination from Murphy does no damage. Lubov fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Murphy shoots in for a takedown but Lubov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murphy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lubov. Murphy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lubov manages to avoid it. It seemed like Lubov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Murphy takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Murphy tries to clinch and Lubov counters with a straight right hand.#T1# Murphy fails to land with a series of punches.

Lubov throws a quick inside leg kick. Lubov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Murphy tries to bum rush Lubov with a series of wild strikes but Lubov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Murphy throws a series of punches but Lubov avoids them all with ease. Lubov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Lubov scores with a slapping inside leg kick.#CL# Murphy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lubov, pushing him back against the cage. Lubov misses with the head strike.
Lubov prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Murphy. That's going to take a lot out of him.#BC2# Lubov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lubov darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Lubov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murphy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
#T2# Murphy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. An inside leg kick lands from Lubov. Murphy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lubov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Murphy closes the distance looking to clinch and Lubov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lubov connects with a jab. A good leg kick by Lubov. A slapping leg kick lands for Lubov.

#R1##TD2# Holmes gets caught napping as Lubov dives in and scores a takedown. Holmes manages to retain guard.#SUB# Lubov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holmes has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lubov is looking to defend but Holmes has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lubov! Holmes pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lubov taps out and this one is all over!

Nice takedown defense from Takamura. No joy for Lubov on that attempt. Takamura is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Lubov throws a body kick despite being completely out of range#TD2# and Takamura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Takamura is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.#SUB2# Takamura is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lubov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
