No joy for Green on that attempt. Green definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#TD2# Russell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Green on his heels. He'll look to pass Green's guard now, I'm sure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green keeping full guard, as Russell tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Green has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Russell is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Green. Green is looking for a sweep. #R1# Russell needs to keep his hands up - Hoca had a free shot at his head there. Russell slips under a jab from Hoca. Russell throws out a counter right but Hoca avoids it with no problem. Russell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Russell moves out of range as Hoca strikes. Russell tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hoca scores with a jab to the jaw. Hoca scores with a jab. Russell acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Russell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Russell does a little dance to reset his feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Russell! But no joy. Hoca lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Russell at a distance.

He tries to recover but Hoca pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Russell is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

#R1##TD2# No scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. No is looking to take a break and control but Russell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Russell stops No from passing to mount. You can see the frustration on Russell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Russell tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Russell tries to lock up and control but No gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Russell tries to reverse the position but No maintains control.#T1# Russell tries to hold on but No postures up. No controlling the pace for now. Russell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
