#R1# Good leg kick by Perez. Bravo checks a leg kick nicely. Perez thows a body kick. Bravo tries to catch it but that hurt him. A head kick misses from Perez. A decent looking cross lands there for Perez. Perez thumps Bravo with a low kick. Perez throws a lazy head kick #TD# and Bravo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Perez! Perez is pushing Bravo's head away, looking to escape. Bravo manages to hold on to the position though. Perez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.#SUB# Bravo has hold of Perez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Perez seems comfortable defending it but Bravo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Perez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Perez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bravo couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eddie Bravo! Eddie Bravo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. #R1# Perez lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Perez lands with a straight right. Tillet didn't see that one coming. Tillet darts in looking for a takedown but Perez gets double underhooks and turns Tillet into the cage. Tillet blocks an elbow strike from Perez.
#BC2# Perez manages to break the clinch.
Perez throws a lazy head kick #TD# and Tillet counters with a shoot takedown. Perez fights it but they end up in guard. Tillet slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tillet slips a nice elbow through Perez's hands, connecting with Perez's forehead. Tillet wants to pass to mount but Perez is defending the position. Tillet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Well, if Tillet is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
#T1# Tillet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tillet scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tillet winds up and cracks Perez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Perez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tillet. Tillet not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tillet sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tillet is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Perez taking some punishment here, with Tillet in his half guard. Tillet not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. #T2# Perez blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tillet. Perez has hold of Tillet's hands but Tillet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Tillet working over Perez with some ground and pound. Perez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Tillet seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tillet working Perez over with strikes. Tillet performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tillet is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Perez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tillet. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tillet working Perez over with strikes here.
