#R1# Ono uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wassermann. Wassermann connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ono. Ono circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wassermann misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ono.
A big left from Wassermann misses. Wassermann lands with a right hand. Wassermann throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ono on the side of the head. Wassermann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ono tries to clinch but Wassermann moves out of range. Wassermann throws the left hand but Ono avoids the punch easily. Ono ducks under a wild hook from Wassermann. Wassermann lands with a cross. Ono staying out of range there. Wassermann throws a hook but Ono blocks it. Wassermann jabs Ono right on the nose. Ono blinks but takes it well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ono tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wassermann swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ono slips a straight right by Wassermann. Ono follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Wassermann is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Wassermann misses with the combination.
Wassermann looks to land a right hand but Ono moved out of range.#T1# Wassermann ducks under a wild hook from Ono. Wassermann thuds a left hand into Ono's body. Ono ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wassermann digs a good hook to Ono's body.
Wassermann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wassermann throws a hook to the side of Ono's head but Ono sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ono with the inside leg kick. Ono throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wassermann's waist but Wassermann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ono off to one side. Ono shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wassermann rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ono counters with a left and a right that stings Wassermann. Wassermann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wassermann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ono moves away. Wassermann throws a shot to the body.
Wassermann is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wassermann's corner calls for a 1-2. Wassermann obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Ono closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wassermann circles away. KJ Wassermann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wassermann waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ono. Wassermann throws a sloppy body shot
and Ono counters with a three punch combo that has Wassermann backing up. Wassermann nods at Ono to acknowledge the strikes.#T2# Wassermann throws a poor cross that misses
and Ono finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Wassermann definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Wassermann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ono. Wassermann connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Wassermann lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Wassermann circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wassermann lands with an uppercut that bounces Ono off the cage and back into range. Ono doesn't manage to clinch there - Wassermann circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Wassermann misses the target. Ono looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #ROC#Ono is rocked! Ono uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wassermann. Wassermann catches Ono with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ono is still on wobbly legs! Can Wassermann finish him? Wassermann misses with a two punch combination.
Ono seems to have recovered his senses. Wassermann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ono. Ono keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wassermann. Wassermann scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.#T3# Wassermann tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ono was well out of range. Poor timing from Wassermann. Ono fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ono moves forwards but Wassermann connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wassermann connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Ono covering up! Wassermann comes in with a big uppercut and Ono goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
