It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zulu uses from the top position. #SUB2# Shanikov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Zulu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Shanikov. A little jabbing left from Zulu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Cox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zulu swats him away and circles back towards the center. It seemed like Zulu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Cox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zulu paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zulu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Adebisi's waist but Adebisi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zulu off to one side. Adebisi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Zulu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Adebisi! #R1# Sloan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Zulu eats them both and turns towards Sloan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#CUT#It looks like Shaka Zulu has been cut. Zulu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sloan sprawls well. Sloan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zulu gets slowly back to his feet. Sloan stuffs the takedown. Sloan thows a body kick. Zulu tries to catch it but that hurt him. Sloan lands a slapping body shot.
Zulu looks winded! Sloan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Zulu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sloan lands a big right hook! Zulu looks hurt but is still standing! Sloan lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Zulu falls down and Sloan dives in with a huge hammer fist! Zulu's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Sloan runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
