Vasiliev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shaw to keep the fight standing. Shaw tries to circle away but Vasiliev has him pinned against the cage. Shaw has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vasiliev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#TD2# Shaw lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Shaw trying to control from half guard but Vasiliev is working away. Shaw landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasiliev controlling the position well. #R1# Lesnar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Shaw could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch but Lesnar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. #TD2# Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lesnar lands a nice forearm strike. Lesnar scores with punches from side control. Lesnar trying to control the action but Shaw is working from the bottom. Shaw regains half guard. Shaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shaw defending well though. Lesnar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Shaw tries to roll over but Lesnar keeps him under control. #R1# Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Springfield as he avoids it easily. Springfield looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Springfield tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaw swivels and escapes. Shaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Springfield. Springfield gets slowly back to his feet. Shaw with a lazy takedown attempt #CL2# and Springfield counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shaw. Springfield's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Springfield jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shaw walks away with a smile on his face. Springfield gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jackson Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jebediah Springfield. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. #R1# Parker changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Parker lands a leg kick that knocks Shaw off balance momentarily. Parker moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. #CL2# Shaw has closed the distance and engaged Parker in a clinch.
Shaw looks to throw an elbow but misses. Shaw is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Parker to keep the fight standing. A head punch blocked on the inside by Shaw. #BC# Parker manages to break the clinch.
Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A nice leg kick from Parker, right into the meat of the thigh.
