Taylor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bruneau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Taylor tries to clinch but Bruneau moves out of range. Bruneau is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bruneau swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bruneau fails with the takedown. Taylor fails with the takedown. And Bruneau tries to counter it with a takedown but Taylor pushes his down on his head and steps out.#T1# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Taylor. He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! Bruneau seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Perkele knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bruneau on the ground. Perkele is refusing to be controlled, as Bruneau sits in half guard. Bruneau sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Perkele defending well though. Bruneau lands with a punch from half guard. Perkele blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bruneau. Perkele has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. That was a close round but I would say that Ispa Perkele will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!#R2# Perkele throws out a loose jab but Bruneau uses good head movement to avoid it. Perkele connects with a jab. Bruneau defending well as Perkele loads up on a big left hand. Bruneau ducks under a wild hook from Perkele. Bruneau closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Perkele fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bruneau manages to avoid it. A left lands for Perkele. Nice uppercut lands for Perkele. That snapped Bruneau's head back.

That's going to take a lot out of Clovis Bruneau. Perkele swings away with a body shot that misses

#R1# Zig slips under a jab.#TD2# Zig looking to score a takedown here. Bruneau is defending well but Zig drives through and ends up in Bruneau's guard. Zig stopping the sweep attempt from Bruneau. Zig being controlled here momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zig sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bruneau's guard. Zig passes to full mount! Bruneau is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
