Balogun throws the left hand but Pymus avoids the punch easily. Pymus misses with a hook. Balogun ducked under it nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Balogun lands a nice shot that snaps Pymus's head back.

Pymus sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Balogun throws a good cross that connects.

#R1# Pymus pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wrobel back to the cage. Pymus follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.#CUT2#It looks like Mordechai Wrobel has been cut. Pymus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wrobel looks to throw a body kick and Wrobel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pymus cracks Wrobel with a good jab. Pymus ducks under a wild hook from Wrobel. Pymus throws a series of punches but Wrobel avoids them all with ease. Wrobel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wrobel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pymus.

Pymus is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wrobel with a body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wrobel throws a head kick but Pymus moves out of range.
We've been told by Wrobel's head coaches at Defiant that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wrobel gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pymus. Wrobel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pymus is working to avoid the ground and pound but Porter connects with a decent elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pymus dodges the ground and pound from Porter. Pymus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Porter trying to control the action but Pymus is working from the bottom. Pymus is pushing Porter's head away, looking to escape. Porter manages to hold on to the position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pymus tries to bench press Porter off him but Porter keeps the position. Porter throws an elbow but Pymus slips to the side and avoids it well. Pymus is trying to get back to half guard. Pymus managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Porter.

That was a close round but I would say that Noah Pymus will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. #R1# Pymus lands a nice hook to Pasternak's body. Pasternak takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pymus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pasternak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Good standup being displayed there by Pymus as he connects with a hook. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pasternak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Pymus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
