#R1# Reyes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Reyes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Campos drops down looking for a counter takedown but Reyes sprawls and moves away. Campos blocks a head kick by Reyes.
Reyes throws a leg kick but Campos moved away.#TD2# Reyes gets a takedown into half guard. Campos kicks off Reyes and gets to his feet. Campos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away. Campos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jessie Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice shot by Reyes.#T1# Campos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reyes swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Campos. That's going to take a lot out of him. A punch combination from Reyes misses. Campos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Campos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Campos keeping hold of Reyes's head, controlling as best he can. Campos is looking to control Reyes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Campos avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Campos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Campos is adopting a defensive guard. Campos is trying to control the position but Reyes postures up. Reyes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Campos wants to sweep but no luck. Campos pulls Reyes in to control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Reyes can't do much from the bottom here. #SUB# Campos is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reyes has escaped the position, nice work there. Reyes is not content to let Campos control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reyes is letting Campos control him for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
