Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Ace Dudley was cancelled. |

Verdi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dudley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Verdi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It seemed like Verdi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Verdi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Verdi misses with a hook. Dudley ducked under it nicely.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dudley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
