Van-Plant has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Colamarino fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Van-Plant has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Colamarino lands a jab to the head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kentrail Colamarino will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. Gwan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at BLK Elite MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight. Gwan takes a swing at Machado's ribcage but misses. Gwan with a hook. Machado shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gwan as he avoids it easily. Gwan is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Gwan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Machado moves forwards but Gwan connects with a nice, crisp jab. Gwan stuns Machado with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gwan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Machado lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gwan circles away quickly and effectively. Machado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gwan's waist but Gwan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Machado off to one side. A counter left hand to the body from Gwan misses its target. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gwan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Machado stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Machado looks winded! Gwan scores with a sloppy right hand. Machado should have avoided that one. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Gwan!
