Vieira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Adam Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vieira tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wright manages to circle out of the way.

Giantslayer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wright is trying to defend but Giantslayer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wright on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wright definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Giantslayer is nestled in close to Wright, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Giantslayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #ROC2#Wright is rocked!
Wright is in trouble now - Giantslayer has advanced to mount!
Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giantslayer on the ground.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Giantslayer! Wright is out cold! This one is all over!

Fisticuffs is looking to clinch but Wright is avoiding it.
Fisticuffs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wright with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fisticuffs to score with a decent uppercut.#CL#
Fisticuffs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
I was talking to Fisticuffs's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Fisticuffs misses with some punches.
Wright's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wright is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Fisticuffs scores with a shot to the side of Wright's head.
Wright takes a shot to the head.
Fisticuffs pushes Wright back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.#ROC#Wright is rocked!

Coleman creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Coleman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wright swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wright tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Wright.
Coleman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#TD#
Coleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Coleman and the ref steps in to end the fight! Coleman can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

A right-left combo lands from Wright. #CUT#It looks like Frank Bigelow has been cut.
Wright clobbers Bigelow with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bigelow looks for a takedown but Wright sprawls well.
Wright went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Wright connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#CUT#That has opened up Frank Bigelow's cut even more.
Bigelow walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Bigelow limp body while Wright jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Adam Wright decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. |
