Kuroda tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mfer defends well and Kuroda ends up having to push Mfer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kuroda has been working on his balance at EFC Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Mfer.#BC2#
Mfer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kuroda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mfer circles away.
Kuroda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mfer looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuroda is just out of range.
Kuroda's coach down at EFC Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kuroda's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
